Changing Email Password

Be aware of the following rules concerning passwords and password changing:
  • Your Password will expire after 180 days.
  • Passwords must be at least 7 characters long.
  • When you change your password, it must be different than your previous one.
  • Your default EKU email password is the (lower case) letters eku followed by your date of birth in the following format: ekuMMDDYY (MM=month DD=day YY=year). The letters eku must be lower case.
    Example: A date of birth of 01/02/1929 would have the PIN format of eku010229.
How do I change my password?
After logging into your email account, click on the “Options” button located on the bottom left hand side of your screen (in the shortcut list).

On the next screen, scroll down until you find the “Change Password” button and click it (see following pic).



When changing your password,the first box you will see will be the Domain Name.
This will always be STUDENT.
See below:

Type your username in the Account box.
Your username is your First Name, an underscore (_), the first 17 characters
of your Last Name and could include up to three numbers to make it unique.
Type your current password in the Old password box.
Type a new password in the New password box.
(this has to be at least a combination of 7 numbers/letters and different from the old password ).
Retype the new password in the Confirm new password box.
Click OK through all screens to exit and save.
